THE DALGARNO SINGERS
Our 2016 - 17 Season
The Dalgarno Singers are a Thornhill-based choir which formed in 1974 and now has about 35 members. Our name comes from the old settlement, Dalgarno or Dalgarnock, where Thornhill now stands. We sing a mixture of traditional songs (folk tunes such as those of Burns), classical choral works (typically Haydn, Handel, Mozart, Rutter and Schubert), and show tunes (recently from My Fair Lady and Les Miserables). Each rehearsal is conducted by our Music Director Rory McLatchie and our Accompanist Hilary Craig.
