Dalgarno Singers
The Dalgarno Singers are based in Thornhill, Dumfriesshire and our rehearsals Room is at OST, Station Road. The Choir was formed in 1974 and now has about 30 members. Our name comes from the old settlement, Dalgarno or Dalgarnock, near where Thornhill now stands. We sing a mixture of traditional songs (folk tunes such as those of Burns), classical choral works (typically Haydn, Handel, Mozart, Rutter and Schubert), and show tunes (recently from My Fair Lady and Les Miserables). Each rehearsal is conducted by our Music Director Rory Robson and our Accompanist Hilary Craig.
